Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for liaising with tax equity investors, cash equity investors, and debt partners for residential solar funds. This position will work cross functionally between Accounting, Finance, and Solar Operations to provide required and ad hoc reporting to investors and lenders. A successful candidate will have strong data-driven financial analysis skills, while also possessing the ability to present findings to key stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Areas of initial primary responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Track, compile and help prepare monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables for internal stakeholders, and external debt and equity partners
- Work alongside Structured Finance team to transition post-transaction close ownership of Fund compliance to Financial Reporting team
- Manage Fund legal documents to meet all stated requirements, including distributions of available cash flow, reporting deliverables, debt service coverage ratio calculations, etc.
- Develop annual budgets and track budget-to-actual performance of solar funds, while analyzing and explaining variances.
- Create detailed process flows, and identify efficiencies where possible, to streamline recurring tasks.
- Track investment returns and report to syndicated partners for IGS’ investments in tax equity partnerships.
- Provide support as necessary to accounting team during year-end fund audits.
- Facilitate the onboarding of additional portfolios of solar projects.
- Manage regular debt service, financing compliance, investor communication.
- Field questions from investors on financial and operational asset performance. Complete ad hoc reporting and perform financial analysis for special projects as needed.
- Work cross functionally with Solar Operations team to identify performance issues and protect underwritten financial performance.
- Over time, learn the IGS Solar financial model and complex accounting rules associated with the solar industry, in order to better serve external investors and internal business partners.
- Working knowledge of finance principles and basics of accounting, with a willingness to learn the complex structuring associated with the Solar industry.
- Ability to handle additional workload during annual budget process and fund closings when necessary.
- Excellent communicator with strong organizational and interpersonal skills necessary to interface with all levels of IGS Solar and the core accounting department.
- The ability to work independently with sound business judgment and integrity using initiative and self-motivation.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for areas of assigned responsibility and related work products.
- Excel in quickly conceptualizing and assimilating data to assist Finance Director in making decisions.

Salary Range:
$79,660.00 - $127,460.00
- This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
