As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role working daily to build business relationships with customers and to deliver Messer's superior standards of customer service, including:
- Identify and attract new customers while maintaining good relationships with existing customers to increase sales and exceed customer expectations
- Earn, retain and grow customer accounts to contribute to the achievement of sales, service and profitability objectives in a specific sales territory
- Support and develop sales strategies
- Work in collaboration with specialists / technical representatives, branches and support functions to achieve the objectives
- Contribute to overall region performance as a member of the regional sales and branch team
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- IP – Welding or similar trade qualifications desirable
- 2+ years’ sales experience, preferably within an industrial environment- Degree in business administration or Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Commercial and negotiation competence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of modern business systems
- Knowledge and experience with CRM systems
- SAP skills desirable
- Messer product knowledge is desirable
- Knowledge of gas applications across different industries with an aptitude for technical sales solutions
- Understanding of the various welding processes and techniques
- Delivery of exceptional sales targets
- Understanding processes and mechanical proficiency
- Capable of developing sales proposals
- Proficient with PowerPoint, and excellent presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Excel
