Sales Manager - Texas Iron & Metal – Houston, TX
Texas Iron & Metal is looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to lead and grow an aggressive industrial sales team in one of the fastest-moving steel and metal service center environments in Texas.
This is not a “babysit the team” management role. We need a driven leader who can build pipelines, hold people accountable, develop sales talent, attack new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth in a highly competitive market.

- Driving profitable sales growth across existing and new industrial accounts
- Leading, coaching, and holding the sales team accountable
- Building a culture focused on urgency, responsiveness, and execution
- Developing strategies to penetrate new markets and increase share with existing customers
- Monitoring quoting activity, margins, conversion rates, and customer retention
- Working closely with operations, purchasing, transportation, and warehouse teams to ensure execution matches commitments
- Managing performance metrics and pushing the team to exceed goals
- Recruiting and developing top sales talent
- Proven leadership experience in steel, metals, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or related B2B industries
- Strong background in industrial sales and customer development
- Experience managing sales performance, KPIs, and accountability
- Ability to handle pressure and operate with urgency
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Competitive mindset with a focus on results, growth, and execution
- Experience in the steel service center industry is strongly preferred
- Increased revenue and gross margin performance
