Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for the process of identifying opportunities, developing relationships, and securing profitable work for the company through sales and marketing strategies and coordinated sales action plans that establish key customer relationships and achieve PGOs sales and revenue goals. Manages and directs activities and work schedules of Equipment & Fuel Sales reps and support staff.
- Responsible for efficient communication, harmonious interaction and support of co-workers and management team members.
- Develops and implements strategic plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Develop and generate specific reports designed to measure team performance.
- Submit monthly reports defining progress and performance.
- Responsible for reviewing the sales representative commission reports before submitting to payroll.
- Works closety with General Manager and Marketing Manager to develop strategic sales campaigns.
- Work closely with training Manager to find and coordinate specific product sales training.
- Assures that appropriate safety training and regular team meetings are conducted.
- Research and develop resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
- Adheres to company policies for promoting business and excellent customer relationships. Deals with escalated customer service calls.
- Maintains communication within other departments to ensure all employees are informed of changes, etc.
- Coordinating with other teams to ensure the achievement of sales objectives.
- Maintains a prioritized list of potential customers and partner organizations.
- Overseeing, monitoring, and ensuring that all field sales personnel have adequate resources to perform properly and are executing sales campaigns, monitoring customer needs, meeting sales goals and recommending product or service enhancements.
- Works with the field sales team to develop competitive quotes on new business opportunities.
- Providing sales support by attending chamber, trade and industry events as well as meeting in-person with prospects, partners, and existing customers as needed.
- Managing the sales process by determining marketing strategies, negotiating selling price and supporting the development of proposals.
- Analyzing trends and results, establishing sales objectives by forecasting and projecting expected sales volume and profit.
- Performs other tasks assigned by manager to provide general support to company operations.
- Assists in performing tasks of other personnel within the department as needed.
- Monitor, coach, and document all safety infractions (Samsara/Incidents)
- Always maintains and promotes company brand guidelines and core values (Friendly, Simple, Safe).
- Motivating, mentoring, developing, and delegating to a sales team.
- Clear oral and written skills for team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Understanding sales processes, strategy, and customer relationship management (CRM).
- Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills
- Interpreting sales data, identifying trends, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to pass PERC Education Program (PEP).
