We are seeking a highly proactive, dedicated and very experienced Safety Manager to lead the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program across all Erthos construction sites. The Safety Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that our projects are executed safely, in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and in alignment with Erthos’s mission to deliver the world’s lowest-cost clean energy.
OSHA 500/510 certification is required, along with experience working on a utility scale solar project.
- Develop, implement, and enforce
site-specific Health & Safety Plans (HASPs) tailored to Erthos projects.
- Lead daily safety briefings
, toolbox talks, and conduct frequent on-site audits to verify compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor field activities
to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA 70E, and local/state regulations.
- Investigate all incidents
, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective actions are completed.
- Oversee subcontractor HSE compliance
and ensure alignment with Erthos safety requirements.
- Track, analyze, and report
leading and lagging safety indicators, including TRIR and LTIR, to company leadership.
- Collaborate
with engineering and construction teams to proactively design and implement safety controls into construction activities.
- Develop and deliver
ongoing safety training programs for employees and subcontractors, including hazard recognition, LOTO, and fall protection.
- Implement
emergency response plans and lead drills to ensure site readiness.
- Promote
a culture of accountability where safety is integrated into all project decisions and daily operations.
- Serve as the primary liaison
for all regulatory agencies, clients, and stakeholders regarding safety compliance and reporting.
- OSHA 500/510 certification
required
. CSP, CHST, or equivalent preferred.
- “Boots on the ground” safety management experience in utility scale solar construction is required.
Ideally, at least 3+ years of this utility scale solar experience.- Proven ability
to implement and monitor HSE programs on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge
of OSHA, EPA, NFPA 70E, and state regulations.
- Excellent leadership
, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build a safety-first culture.
- Experience with safety management systems
, digital reporting tools, and incident tracking software.
- Ability to travel frequently
and maintain a strong presence on active project sites nationwide.
This is a fully on-site role requiring regular travel to Erthos construction sites, nationwide, and potentially internationally in the future. Candidates must be willing and able to travel 100% of the time, with assignments based at project locations throughout the duration of construction.
When not working at a project location, this Safety Manager can live anywhere within the continental United States.

Health Insurance, Stock Options, Bonus, PTO and 401(K) benefits listed below will not be offered to a 1099 contractor in this role- Competitive Compensation: Salary will be determined based on your experience and expertise. We are targeting a base salary of up to approximately $125,000. However, compensation is flexible for candidates who possess the required experience mentioned above.
- Per Diem: GSA-rate per diem provided for all days spent on-site.
- Travel Support: Monthly travel stipend of up to $750 or reimbursement for up to two trips home per month, whichever is less.
