We are seeking Project Manager(s) / Senior Project Manager(s) in relation to the construction phase of the Yellowhead Pipeline Project. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience managing large-scale gas pipeline projects with exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The positions will be based out of Edmonton, AB but it is expected that approximately 25–50% of time will be spent in the field offices during construction.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the Project Manager for an assigned pipeline construction spread, ensuring successful execution of construction, commissioning, and close-out.
- Monitor and control project scope, schedule, and cost, and proactively implement risk management strategies.
- Build strong relationships and coordinate with various internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Lead contractor management, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, technical, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of pipeline project design and construction experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline project management roles, managing large-scale pipeline projects through detailed design and construction.
- Strong understanding of project management, pipeline construction, engineering design, regulatory compliance, project controls, and contract management.
- Demonstrated experience working in field environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, construction-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
