Position Overview

The Bilingual Project Manager will oversee excavation and utility projects from planning through completion while helping improve how our company operates.

This person will be a major connection point between:

- Ownership

- Office staff

- Field crews

- Subcontractors

- Inspectors

- General contractors

- Engineers

- Suppliers

- Customers

We need someone who can lead in the field, communicate clearly in English and Spanish, organize moving pieces, solve problems, and help us create better systems as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage excavation, utility, and site work projects from start to finish

- Coordinate daily with crews, foremen, operators, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and customers

- Communicate project details clearly in both English and Spanish

- Serve as a communication bridge between ownership, office, and Spanish-speaking field crews

- Review plans, drawings, scopes of work, specifications, and project documents

- Help create and maintain project schedules

- Track labor, equipment, materials, production, delays, change orders, and job progress

- Visit job sites regularly to review safety, quality, productivity, and crew needs

- Identify problems early and help solve them before they affect schedule or budget

- Help order materials, coordinate equipment, schedule deliveries, and keep projects moving

- Document daily progress, photos, completed work, delays, and field issues

- Assist with estimating, takeoffs, project setup, job costing, and closeout when needed

- Help create and improve SOPs, workflows, checklists, reporting systems, and project management processes

Qualifications

- Fluent in English and Spanish

- Experience in excavation, underground utilities, site work, civil construction, or related construction management

- Ability to read and understand plans, utility drawings, scopes, and specifications

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple moving parts

- Comfortable working in the office and on job sites

- Able to communicate respectfully with crews, customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and ownership

- Strong problem-solving skills and a “figure it out” mindset

- Willingness to help build systems, not just work inside systems that already exist

- Basic computer and phone skills

- Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Experience

- Underground utilities, water, sewer, storm drainage, grading, trenching, or excavation

- Working with municipalities, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, or utility providers

- Managing crews as a foreman, superintendent, assistant PM, project engineer, or project coordinator

- Creating or improving SOPs, workflows, checklists, reporting systems, or construction operations processes

- Knowledge of trench safety, utility installation, equipment production, and field safety practices

- Experience with QuickBooks, HCSS, Buildertrend, Procore, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar tools
