A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of customer delivery requirements. This position requires strong communication skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to decision-making. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to achieving results through effective planning, collaboration, and execution
- Develop and own manufacturing processes for new and existing power generation turbine airfoil components.
- Support both conventional and non-conventional machining processes with hands-on shop floor involvement.
- Lead manufacturing from process development through project completion, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve non-conformances and improve manufacturability.
- Create and maintain process documentation while driving continuous improvement through data analysis.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing Engineers, Fixture Engineers, CMM Programmers, and Operators.
- B.S./B.A. degree preferred, or equivalent operations-related experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a related field with a thorough understanding of product flow and process steps for industrial gas turbine repair.
- Proficiency in ERP systems including SAP
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite including Project and Power BI
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
