The Production Engineer will play a vital role within the Production Operations team, responsible for managing profitability and production across our assets. This position will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, design and optimize artificial lift systems, optimize well performance and maintain strong communication with field operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with field operations team to optimize base production and reduce downtime.
- Create AFE’s for flowbacks, workovers, recompletions, and well maintenance operations.
- Lead regularly scheduled well reviews with field operations and reservoir engineers
- Track and monitor LOE, workover and capital spending to meet budget or exceed targets and KPI’s.
- Diagnose root cause of surface and subsurface failures, develop solutions, evaluate economics, execute procedures, and perform lookbacks to improve systematic and reoccurring failures.
- Monitor well and economic performance, conduct reservoir surveillance to create development plans to maximize asset value.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related field of study
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and critical thinking.
- Working knowledge of artificial lift, nodal analysis, and production software.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Production Engineer for an E&P preferred
