The Payroll Admin is responsible for timekeeping and payroll administration. This position is an Individual Contributor role. The role directly reports to the Payroll Manager and routinely interacts with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Managers, and Employees.
- Process regional payrolls accurately and timely.
- Coordinate timesheet approvals with supervisors/managers of all functions.
- Verify vacation balances against timesheets.
- Assist with loading payroll deduction files as needed.
- Assist with preparing the outgoing FSA/HSA File.
- Complete all Payroll action items in HRIS system related to personnel changes.
- Prepare certified payroll reports and send to project managers and customers.
- Audit and upload excel timesheet for field crews.
- Prepare timesheets and send to field supervision.
- Enter data into timesheets and the payroll system as needed.
- Process any additional payments (spot bonus, severance, retention, etc.)
- Provide payroll information and answer payroll related questions from HR, managers and employees.
- Familiar with US FLSA laws preferred.
- Familiar with US Federal and State Prevailing Wage/Certified Payroll requirements preferred.
- Familiar with State and Local Payroll tax laws preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two to five (2-5) years of work experience.
- Payroll experience preferred.
- Associates degree in a related discipline preferred.
- Knowledge of JDE, Peoplesoft, Hubble, Citrix and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Prior experience in certified payrolls preferred.
