Pro-Pipe Service and Sales Ltd is an engineering-driven manufacturing company focused on advanced downhole tubular technologies, including our next-generation TMS DeepDrill™ insulated drill pipe designed for extreme geothermal environments. We are a small, fast-moving team where everyone contributes across disciplines—and where innovation happens on the shop floor as much as in the design software.
We are currently expanding our capabilities and building a new production line for insulated drill pipe, and we’re looking for a highly capable, hands-on individual to help bring it to life.
We’re seeking a multidisciplinary, sleeves-rolled-up engineering technician who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and building real hardware. This is not a pure design role. You will be directly involved in constructing, testing, and commissioning the production line, including mechanical assembly, instrumentation, process development, and continuous improvement.
If you enjoy working with tools as much as CAD—and you want to help build something groundbreaking—this role is for you.
- Assist in building and commissioning the insulated drill pipe production line—mechanical, electrical, and process components.
- Assemble, align, and verify mechanical systems such as extruders, conveyors, curing stations, and protective armor application modules.
- Install and troubleshoot sensors, control hardware, PLC components, and instrumentation.
- Support development and optimization of extrusion and coating processes for advanced insulation and composite deposition.
- Fabricate fixtures, jigs, brackets, and prototype parts using hand tools, machine tools, 3D printers, and CNC equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and R&D to solve practical problems on the fly.
- Participate in testing, QA, and documentation during process development and validation.
- Wear multiple hats—design, build, test, improve.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude—comfortable building real equipment, not just designing it.
- Experience in at least two of the following:
- Mechanical assembly or fabrication
- Electrical wiring or industrial controls
- PLCs, sensors, instrumentation
- Composites, coatings, or polymer processing
- Machining, CNC, or metalworking
- CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and solve practical engineering problems.
- Comfort working in a small-team environment where responsibilities overlap.
- Preference will be given to those with 2 year technical diplomas or 4 year degrees, though experienced candidates in the above fields will be considered without formal education.
- Experience with extrusion or continuous manufacturing lines
- Knowledge of coatings, or composite layup
- Experience with downhole tools, geothermal, or oilfield manufacturing
- Welding, fabrication, or millwright experience
- Familiarity with safety and QA programs in a manufacturing environment
- Be part of building a first-of-its-kind advanced materials production line.
- Work with a company on the cutting edge of geothermal and high-temperature drilling technologies.
- High autonomy, high impact—your work will directly shape the product and the process.
- Opportunity for career growth into engineering, operations, or production leadership.
