Job Summary

Responsible for movement, storage, meeting daily fuel demand requirements and maintenance of all coal handling equipment including large mobile equipment. Manages coordination of coal delivery and coal quality logistics with plant operations and AEP Fuels. Manage material handling O&M and Capital budgets.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

- Direct Improvements in material handling operating procedures.

- Schedule and direct maintenance of equipment and movement of materials essential to operations of plant.

- Recommend and direct improvements to equipment design, operating procedures and material handling procedures.

- Assist in developing long and short range plans for maintenance, capital improvement availability and staffing. Participate in the development of plant O&M and capital forecast, and tracking and controlling expenditures to meet approved budgets.

- Develop, maintain and enforce safe working conditions by providing proper and adequate tools, equipment, protective clothing and devices. Establish and enforce safety work behaviors. Participate in the setting of safety goals for an accident free work environment.

- Communicate to employees the importance of a safe work environment on a daily basis. Investigate, report and track incidents/accidents including root cause analysis and corrective action taken.

What We're Looking For:

- Bachelor's degree + 6 yrs power plant experience; or Associate's + 8 yrs power plant experience; or high school diploma/GED + 10 yrs power plant experience. Must have a minimum of 3 yrs supervisory experience.

Compensation Range:

$112,869.00 - $146,730.50

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
