Material Handler

EcoLube Recovery is looking for a Material Handler to join their team in Portland, Oregon! This person will ready trailers for deliver, process drums of oil filters and oily debris, and more!

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a forklift, electric pallet jack and manual pallet jack.

- Process package and transfer trailers.

- Process drums of filters using filter crusher.

- Process drums of oily debris.

- Mix antifreeze and windshield washer fluid to required specs.

- Sort scrap drums.

- Ensure forklift maintenance is completed.

- Facilitate maintenance on filter crusher.

- Receive incoming package deliveries deliver to proper personnel.

- General daily housekeeping to maintain a clean working area.

- Wear personal protective equipment to keep yourself safe!

- Promote safety through your own actions and work habits.

- Other duties as assigned.

What do you need?

- High School diploma or equivalent required

- 18+ years old

- Bulk liquid handling or tank farm operating experience helpful

- Good time management skills

- Basic operating knowledge of computers, including basic Office suite

- Strong mechanical aptitude preferred

- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English

- Ability to understand instructions given verbally or in writing in English

- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instruction and technical procedure.

What are the physical requirements (with or without accommodation)?

- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools and equipment

- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 15 ft

- Ability to lift 40+ pounds, carry 10-20 pounds, push/pull up to 250 pounds with mechanical assistance.
