Progressive Rubber Industries (PRI) is looking for a Master Scheduler to own and control our production schedule across a busy, multi-discipline manufacturing and fabrication facility. This role is critical to protecting workflow, balancing capacity, and ensuring on-time delivery to our customers.
The Master Scheduler has full authority over day-to-day job sequencing and shop priorities, while project-level schedule changes that extend beyond client-approved production windows require leadership approval. This role is not a project manager, dispatcher, or foreman; it exists to protect flow, prevent overload, and surface risk early.
Own and maintain the master production schedule across all departments
Sequence daily and weekly work based on real capacity and constraints
Balance labour, equipment, and workload to protect on-time delivery
Coordinate with engineering and procurement to prevent bottlenecks
Adjust schedules in real time to manage disruptions while protecting delivery commitments
Escalate schedule risks early when customer commitments are at risk
Enforce schedule discipline, no informal or undocumented priority changes
Communicate schedule impacts clearly to supervisors, project managers, and leadership
Track and report schedule performance metrics including on-time delivery and schedule adherence
The Master Scheduler has full authority over day-to-day and short-term production scheduling, including job sequencing and work center priorities.
Approval from Operations Leadership is required when schedule changes would push work outside of a client’s approved production window or create contractual or commercial risk.
Strong understanding of capacity planning and production constraints
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including multi-sheet models, formulas (IF, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS), pivot tables, and data analysis for decision-making
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, including task dependencies, critical path analysis, resource loading, and schedule leveling
Ability to build, maintain, and defend schedules using data
Comfortable making decisions and holding the line on priorities
Strong communication skills across shop floor, project, and leadership teams
At PRI, the Master Scheduler plays a central role in improving on-time delivery, reducing firefighting, and driving operational discipline. This role has real authority, leadership support, and a direct impact on customer satisfaction and company performance.
We are actively investing in better systems, clearer processes, and stronger execution. This role is key to making that happen.
