We are looking for a Manager, Controller – Boron, whose primary function will be to provide financial information and analysis.
This position is an excellent opportunity to join a team based in Boron, California and provide optimal controller’s support.
Working in a collaborative environment, the team is responsible for coordinating and ensuring a high quality of accounting, financial reporting, technical and compliance support services.
Reporting to the Finance Director– Boron, this position is a great development opportunity for a person looking for challenges. You will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage a team of dynamic professionals.
- Interprets and comments on monthly financial results used by management and for reporting.
- Ensure compliance of financial information with accounting standards and policies and the robustness of internal controls.
- Recommend solutions to resolve complex accounting issues specific to the operational situation of the sites under his/her responsibility
- Work in partnership with various stakeholders within the organization including Finance Business Partners, financial accounting team, risk, accounting policy, Commercial, Tax, etc.
- Mobilize the team to realize our process optimization and standardization initiatives
To be successfully considered for this position, the following requirements must be met:
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Accounting certification (CPA or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, auditing or related field
- Strong experience in audit and controls,
- Excellent English (written/verbal),
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced critical thinking
- Proactive with the ability to work autonomously
- Good team player and ability to interact effectively with colleagues / to build partnership
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Solid knowledge in SAP will be considered an asset
