The controller is responsible for managing and supporting the financial operations of the company including planning, investing, budgeting, and other financial matters.
· Coordinates the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and investment activities.
· Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
· Prepares the periodic financial statements, activity reports, and financial forecasts.
· Completes credit applications and provides sales tax certificates.
· Review of service contracts, vendors and past due A/R customers.
· Reviews financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations.
· Assists ownership with short- and long-term financial objectives.
· Assists managers with implementation of accounting policies.
· Main contact for 401k, including weekly audits.
· Monthly reconciliation of accounts, including COGS, expenses, and sales reports.
· Collaborate with auditors to provide information needed for audits and census reports.
· Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
· Excellent and highly accurate math and accounting skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office software, and specialized accounting software used by the organization.
· Five or more years of related experience required.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of fabrication and machine shop.
