The Controller oversees the company’s accounting operations, including producing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and implementing controls and budgets to mitigate risk. The role ensures accurate financial reporting in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Additionally, the Controller analyzes company operations to assess performance, identify cost-reduction opportunities, refine programs, and recommend policy changes. The role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and external customers.

Will oversee the operations of the accounting department, including designing an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
- Strong Accounting skills, including treasury, payroll, accounting, A/P, A/R, and credit.
- Experience with month-end and year-end close processes and generating ad hoc reports for operations
- Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes and document findings.
- Reconcile and analyze accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and accounts are balanced to sub-ledgers.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Coordinate with the accounts payable and receivable team to maintain accurate and timely records.
- Analyze and reconcile information between the company’s accounting records and the third-party project management system (Vantagepoint) for tracking revenue and invoicing.
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report with internal teams and outside auditors.

- Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to the finance team and encourage continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with the CFO and senior leaders to develop and implement financial strategies and align with the company’s goals.
- Effective communication with managers, peers, or subordinates.
- Ability to respond professionally to internal and external customers' questions and concerns.

- Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting or finance
- 6-8 years of accounting/Finance experience.
- CPA Active License Preferred
- Proven managerial skills and experience
- Advanced computer skills required using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to effectively present information to leadership.
