Loader Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Loader Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a front end loader to support projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality results while maintaining a safe work environment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate front end loader used in Trinity’s surface mining and quarrying activities, material and product handling, and facility civil works.

- Must be able to maintain a high level of Environmental, and Health and Safety awareness; identify and report any risks, near misses, and incidents with the goal of supporting Trinity's excellent safety standards.

- Must be able to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on designated equipment.

- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to execute project plans efficiently and accurately.

- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational logs.

- Must be able to track loads and complete required documentation.

- Must adhere to Trinity's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.

- Other duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 5 years of experience (5-10 years considered an asset) as a Loader Operator (CAT 966 & 980).

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).

- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures.

- Trade certification is considered an asset.

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Must be mechanically inclined.

- Must be willing and able to work up to 12-hour shifts.

- Experience working in a mining environment would be considered an asset.

- Ability to adapt quickly to different types of machinery.

Working hours are Monday through to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Place of work is at the mine site at 250 Mineral’s Rd., Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 7 months
