Job Cost Clerk

Danos Expectation:

The Job Cost Clerk supports accurate financial tracking and billing for assigned projects by coordinating closely with Project Management, Procurement, and Accounting. This role is responsible for maintaining precise job cost records, ensuring proper cost coding, reconciling labor and material costs, and preparing complete and compliant billing and payroll documentation. The Job Cost Clerk plays a key role in timely invoicing, cost reporting, and overall project cost control to support successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

- Liaison between Project Management, Procurement, and Accounting to support accurate job cost tracking, daily project coordination, and invoicing.

- Maintain accurate project cost actuals and ensure compliance with internal and external daily, weekly, and monthly cost reporting.

- Ensure accurate cost coding for labor classifications, expenses, purchase orders, vendor invoices and subcontractor invoices.

- Ensure all project-based revenue is billed accurately as per contract terms and in a timely manner following various customer billing requirements.

- Receives, organizes, and enters all field ticket time into a system on a weekly basis for payroll processing.

- Reconcile all project materials between systems to ensure all items are accounted for and balance to parts delivery ticket.

- Compile and review billing documentation to verify accuracy, system alignment, and compliance with contract requirements.

- Prepare time ticket and invoice packages for customer review & approval.

- Assist project manager with cost tracking on specific projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

- Interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.

- Ability to multitask and while maintaining attention to detail.

- Ability to work under pressure to meet accounting & reporting deadlines.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Prior Customer Service experience a plus.

- Accounting, job cost or timekeeping experience a plus.
