Position Description:

Join a dynamic team supporting critical federal government initiatives as an IT Database Engineer. In this contract role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust ETL pipelines, support reporting efforts, and ensure data integrity and security in a mission-critical environment. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise in T-SQL, data integration, and performance tuning, with the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable database architectures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to national security initiatives in a remote setting supporting high-level government projects.

Top Requirements:

- Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (on-prem or cloud-based like AWS/Azure)

- Advanced T-SQL development skills (complex queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers)

- Extensive experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines using SSIS, including incremental loads and CDC patterns
