The Data Engineer will work to deliver high-performing data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Cosmos DB. This role requires proficiency in data modeling, structuring data environments, and optimizing data workflows to support the organization's needs, while ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security. The Data Engineer will also work in service of other teams to provide technical guidance on data related projects, perform any necessary data-related tasks, and serve as the escalation point, providing technical support and troubleshooting, for any tier III data-related support issues.
- Implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Create and maintain data pipelines that facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
- Optimize ETL processes, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Work with databases, data warehousing solutions, and big data technologies to support the organization's data strategy.
- Monitor data systems for efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess current data systems, and recommend improvements or innovations.
- Analyze and optimize existing data models and practices to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Conduct data modeling and design reviews, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Proficient in Azure data services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, or similar data roles, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or other Advanced Analytics techniques, preferred.
- Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
