Location: 3 Commerce Dr. Auburn, MA (190 Washington St. Auburn, MA alternate address)
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage and track company-owned materials and inventory used across active job sites. This role will focus on logging, tracking, and reconciling materials purchased and deployed to specific projects and job numbers. Over time, the position may expand to include additional inventory categories, tools and equipment tracking, and general administrative support.
- Track and log materials purchased and issued to specific projects and job numbers
- Maintain accurate inventory records for materials including but not limited to:
- Conduit (various sizes and types)
- Transformer pads
- Pole risers
- Bends, couplings, and other pipe components
- Miscellaneous underground and overhead structures
- Coordinate with field crews, supervisors, and management to verify material usage and locations
- Reconcile inventory records with purchase orders, delivery tickets, and job records
- Identify discrepancies, shortages, or overages and report them to management
- Maintain organized digital and/or physical inventory logs
- Assist with scanning, organizing, and filing paperwork such as:
- Receipts
- Invoices
- Delivery tickets
- Job-related documentation
- Support future expansion of inventory tracking to include tools and equipment
- Perform general administrative support duties as assigned
- Experience in construction, utility, or materials management (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with electric utility construction materials is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, or inventory software
- Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and office staff
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, scanning, document management)
