Intermediate Strutural Engineer

Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer – Vancouver

Our client is an international engineering firm, and they have asked TRS to source outstanding Structural Engineering candidates for their downtown Vancouver office. We are looking for an Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer to join the team and contribute to innovative solutions for hydropower, dams, and mining infrastructure. This is a permanent full-time position.

Key Details

- Key focus is on Structural Engineering, but knowledge of Civil Engineering is valuable

- Perform structural analysis and resolve complex engineering problems using sound judgment and technical expertise

- Structural design of hydraulic structures (dams, intakes, spillways, penstocks, pump stations, powerhouses

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engineers, designers, and drafters—to deliver clear, buildable designs

- Familiarity with FE/structural analysis tools (ANSYS, Strand7, SAP2000 or equivalent)

- Prepare high-quality technical reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders

- Participate in site visits and inspections (some travel may be involved)

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering

- Registered P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (or eligible)

- Experience: Minimum 5 years in hydropower, dams, and/or mining infrastructure projects
