Coated Metals Group (CMG), an employee-owned leader in the architectural sheet metal industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Support Specialist to join our Verona, WI team. This role plays a critical part in supporting branch success by combining customer-facing service and sales support with inventory management and administrative assistance for the Vice President of Sales. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is eager to learn and cross-train across multiple business functions. · Answer inbound office calls and route as appropriate.
· Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers and contractors.
· Provide friendly, solutions-focused support for product and order inquiries.
· Enter new sales orders accurately into Sage 100 ERP.
· Respond to customer questions regarding material availability, lead times, and product details.
· Process sample requests, including shipping and labeling.
· Receive master coils into Sage upon delivery.
· Assist with receiving and scheduling orders from CMG distribution centers.
· Research inventory to determine appropriate coils for orders.
· Process invoices for shipped orders in Sage.
· Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to support branch operations
· Assist the Vice President of Sales with daily operational tasks, reporting, and communication.
· Cross-train across functional areas to provide backup support as needed.
· Support process improvements to increase branch efficiency and customer satisfaction.
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ERP experience (preferably Sage 100).
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Previous experience in inside sales or customer service preferred, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or construction-related industries.
