The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the sales Department and helping to coordinate with other departments. This role is meant to help the sales department through providing materials, assisting in customer support, and maintaining databases and other forms. In this role you will coordinate within the sales department and other departments to ensure the highest possible standard of quality.
- Collaborate with and support other team members in the sales department and company.
- Support sales staff by completing and processing orders and keeping senior staff informed of any issues with delivery.
- Serve as a liaison to departments and customers when necessary to ensure the process is running smoothly, that the product will be well made and the clients’ needs.
- Assist clients through the sales process and provide customer support by email, phone, google meet, etc.
- Maintain the sales database, create lists of potential clients, add leads to the system, and ensure accuracy of customer records.
- Maintain customer relationships through events and networking, acting as a the secondary and sometimes primary point of contact for customers and prospects.
- Develop and further improve upon your own sales skills. Working with their own clientele, once assigned, on orders through the entire sales process.
- Act as the second line for answering incoming phone calls behind that of the receptionist.
- Participate in sales leads initiatives, assisting and completing cold emails, cold calls, marketing efforts, trade show preparation, etc.
- Assist in the completion of marketing efforts. Complete the physical work associated with mailer campaigns, trade show preparation, and other physical marketing materials
- This is an entry level position
- Associate's degree is communication, finance, or related field is strongly preferred
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and NetSuite/Oracle
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Self-Driven and motivated to improve upon yourself and the organization
- Be open minded and willing to share ideas with others and your supervisor
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely as well as attentive listening skills
- Ability to work on site
- Comfortable sitting in an office environment
