Inside Sales Support Specialist

Shape specializes in Sanitation, Hydraulic, And Process Equipment for the water treatment and transport industry. Before becoming incorporated as what is now “SHAPE Inc.”, our business began 8 years before as “EC Cooling”. EC Cooling started as a Flygt Distributor in 1971, and later continued uninterrupted as the official Northern California Municipal Flygt Distributor. Shape’s corporate office is located in Pleasanton, CA where our day to day operations including admin, accounting, and sales (inside and out) are headquartered. Our Service Facility is located in Stockton, CA where our repair shop and warehouse, stock inventory, and sales are based. We have also recently opened our new Sacramento Area sales office in Gold River in the summer of 2020. This gives us centralized access to our full territory which covers north from the Kern County line to the Oregon Border and into parts of Northern Nevada. Responsibilities for all our lines not only include upfront engineering and sales, but aftermarket service and repairs.

Shape Incorporated, a UFT company, is hiring an Inside Sales Support Specialist to work on-site in their Gold River, CA office. This person will be responsible for supporting new and aftermarket sales projects, the outside sales team, and customers (before and after the receipt of an order).

What you will do:

- Manage and organize project documentation and files after the order is received

- Proactively follow projects and keep the customers informed regarding project status

- Prepare submittals and spec checks

- Order equipment and verify accuracy of orders and statuses

- Coordinate field startup service and training

- Build project specific O&M manuals

- Estimating and quoting

- Coordinate bidding process with outside sales team

- Assist outside sales team with preliminary equipment applications and selections

- Maintain company procedures regarding estimating, quoting, order entry, shipping status, and customer service

- Will be the point of contact (via phone and email) for municipalities, end users, contractors, and engineers.

- Maintain excellent customer service to contractors, end users, engineers, and manufacturers

Background/ Experience:

- High school diploma or GED. Bachelor degree in science and/or engineering is a plus

- At least 1 year of inside sales or project coordination experience is required

- Water/wastewater industry experience a plus

- Experience working within heavy construction or manufacturer rep industries a plus

- Ability to learn and apply technical information about the company's products

- Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail

- Excellent customer service skills

- Previous experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)

- Ability to work on-site in Gold River, CA is required

$80,000-$120,000 a year depending on experience
