Kemper AIP Metals is seeking an Inside Sales Representative. This position is in-person and located in our corporate headquarters in Ponte Vedra, FL. Our sales and customer support team help our customers with purchasing, inventory programs, and just in time delivery of precise, high-quality non-ferrous metal and semi-finished products. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing an established customer base, supporting outside sales representatives, and resolving problems or questions customers have concerning their account and orders. Experience in the metals industry, logistics and with SAP software a plus.
- Manages an established customer base.
- Maintains customer consignment inventories, and releases material as requested by the customer.
- Pricing and processing orders in SAP, inquiring about costs and pricing with contract administration department.
- Solving customer delivery challenging and supply chain management in concert with the logistics department.
- Responds to routine customer inquiries regarding product, placement of orders, complaints, expediating and other business-related requests.
- Takes customer orders via phone, fax, email or customer web portal utilizing customer recording procedures.
- Reviews and attaches invoices to existing orders.
- Sends invoice releases to accounting.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of the company's production and delivery schedules.
- Coordinates activities with internal company departments; acts as liaison between production/shipping and other internal departments with customers when a problem or question occurs and supports outside sales representatives with customer's issues as they arise.
- Resolve any problems or questions customers have concerning existing or previous orders, shipments, billings, including proper customer credit if required.
- Tracks down and updates orders as requested by customer or supervisor.
- Access, updates and maintains customer computer database and record keeping system for individual accounts.
- Professional internal and external written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Excel and SAP or similar systems software preferred
- Ability to learn and understand technical product information and specifications
- Problem solving aptitude using knowledge of our products and services
- Ability to pay attentional to detail, communicate effectively, multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and willingness to step in and help others when required
- Starting salary $55,000 per year. Salary based on experience.
- Compensation plan includes yearly bonus potential and profit sharing.
