The Maintenance position is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facilities and equipment within our organization. The primary goal of this role is to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they escalate, thereby supporting a safe and productive work environment. The Maintenance professional will collaborate closely with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond promptly to urgent repair needs. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to operational continuity and cost savings by maintaining high standards of equipment reliability and facility upkeep.
- Proven experience in maintenance work, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel.
- Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures related to maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Must have own tools.
- Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or related fields.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts if necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustments, and replacements to prevent equipment failures.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and execute timely repairs to restore functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
- Collaborate with team members and management to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance procedures.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and systems as required.
The required skills enable the Maintenance professional to effectively perform inspections, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs using appropriate tools and techniques. Proficiency in reading technical documents ensures accurate understanding of equipment specifications and maintenance procedures. Strong physical skills support the hands-on nature of the work, allowing the individual to safely handle equipment and perform manual tasks. Additionally, knowledge of safety regulations and problem-solving capabilities contribute to maintaining a secure work environment and resolving maintenance challenges efficiently.
