The Scruggs Company, one of the fastest growing construction companies in Georgia, is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager due to current and future growth. The opportunity is with Sunbelt Asphalt Services, a division of The Scruggs Company, and is based in Auburn, GA. This is an in-person position.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Act as an HR business partner for a rapidly expanding business, providing HR generalist support, while demonstrating the ability to influence and deliver for business leaders.
•Serve as primary HR leader for north Georgia operations (Sunbelt Asphalt)
•Lead implementation of new human resources processes
•Lead and direct investigations, progressive discipline, and employee relations to ensure all involved are treated fairly and with respect
•Lead in local recruiting and training efforts
•Be a senior business partner for Sunbelt president and leaders
•Integrate employees of future acquisitions into business and culture
•Manage tactical and strategic HR responsibilities
Job Requirements:
•4-year degree; Business, HR Management, or related major preferred
•4+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in construction, transportation, or manufacturing, management experience highly preferred
•Experience with HRIS systems, Arcoro preferred
•Working knowledge of employment and labor laws
•Knowledge of wage and hour regulations at federal and state levels required
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, Spanish skills a plus
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•A great sense of humor and a willingness to add to a fun, winning environment
