Job Description: Human Resources Manager
AI Engineers is seeking a proactive and solutions-oriented Human Resources Manager to take a leading role in the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This hands-on position is responsible for the efficient execution of key HR functions, including operations, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, policy implementation, and data management. Serving as a primary resource for both employees and managers, the HR Manager will be instrumental in delivering consistent, compliant, and high-quality HR support across the organization while helping to elevate the overall effectiveness of the HR function.
HR Operations
•Policy Administration: Maintain and enforce company policies and procedures; assist with updates as needed
•Onboarding: Ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires
•Offboarding: Facilitate offboarding tasks including termination meetings, exit interviews, benefits transitions, and final documentation
•HRIS Management: Maintain and update employee data in HRIS and other platforms; troubleshoot system issues and recommend process improvements
•Employee Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely tracking of employee changes, job titles, compensation, leave status, and organizational structure
•Continuously evaluate and enhance HR processes for operational efficiency and consistency
Employee Relations & Engagement
•Act as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR questions, concerns, and guidance
•Support managers in addressing performance, conduct, and workplace concerns, escalating as appropriate
•Assist in conducting and documenting employee investigations, terminations, and disciplinary actions
•Assist in developing and supporting initiatives that promote positive workplace culture, engagement, and retention
•Help ensure a respectful, inclusive, and professional work environment
Compliance & Reporting
•Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
•Ensure proper maintenance of employee records, forms, and documentation in accordance with legal and internal requirements
•Assist with audits, filings, and reporting requirements (e.g., EEO, ACA, FMLA tracking)
•Monitor and report on HR metrics to support compliance and business decision-making
•Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive employee data and records

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered
•Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role, with prior experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner strongly preferred
•In-depth knowledge of core HR functions, employment laws, and current HR best practices
•Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
•Proven ability to build trust, foster strong working relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
•Proficiency in HRIS platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
