GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for deploying HR policies, practices and programs to manage talent and drive culture. Responsibilities include employment and benefits administration, employee relations, training and development, performance management, policy implementation and employment law compliance.
ESSENCIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
•Development, implementation and communication of company policies and programs.
•Identifies, attracts, and recommends candidates utilizing a variety of sources.
•Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
•Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
•Responsible for conducting and or coordinating internal and external management training programs.
•Advises and assists management in the handling of employee relations investigations, counseling, and disciplinary action.
•Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and vision insurance, vacation, sick leave, and leave of absence.
•Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier. Coordinates Safety Committee meetings and acts as Safety Director.
•Maintains and completes required OSHA reporting and workers’ compensation administration as related to workplace injuries.
•Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
•Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships. Build morale and increase productivity and retention.
•Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
•Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 helpful
•SHRM certification a plus
