THE JOB
The Human Resources Generalist; Branch Operations plays a critical role in the day-to-day people-related operations in the local markets and the HR Team. This operational and strategic role coordinates broader HR activities, but also partners with the HR team to support everyday needs of employees. We are looking to add an ambitious, well-rounded individual to carry out the following key responsibilities:
•Manage the administration of global mobility programs, including tracking international assignments, securing work visas, and compliance with tax requirements.
•Support the HR Manager and line Managers in resolving employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, external legal engagement, following established processes.
•Collaborate with Human Resources Manager to support the implementation of HR Programs and policies that align with Hy-Tech goals and drive business success.
•Utilize HR Metrics to inform effectiveness of HR Practices to inform decision-making and report on HR activities.
•Support annual wage and salary reviews for all positions, preparing compensation reports and benchmarking against industry standards.
•Review and ensure accuracy of HR-related website content and communications.
•Prepare and submit HR articles, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
•Support the HR Manager and hiring managers to define job requirements, draft and update job descriptions.
•Manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process, ensuring timely, high-quality hires through counselling managers on candidate selection.
•Coordinate and facilitate employee onboarding, development plans, and probationary period check-ins with the supervisor, refining strategies based on data insights.
•Facilitate the performance review process, utilizing established frameworks to ensure fairness, consistency, and alignment with Hy-Tech’s values.

THE SETTING
This position is based out of the Company Headquarters in Smithers, BC or the Branch Location in Saskatoon, SK. Office work environment with some travel required.
THE SCHEDULE
Standard working hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. There will also be some requirements to be available after hours and on weekends during busy times.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
•3+ years of Human Resources work experience with proven generalist proficiency.
•Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources or Related field is Required.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration is an asset.
•CPHR Professional Designation or working towards it is preferred.
•Proficient generalist knowledge of federal and provincial legislation and understanding the impact of HR practices in the workplace.
•Intermediate proficiency in the use of computer programs for word processing, databases, spreadsheets, email and the internet.
•Criminal Record Check is mandatory.
•Ability to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities.
•Maintain high-quality standards and be a positive ambassador for Hy-Tech.

•Must have a valid driver’s licence and provide a current drivers abstract annually.
