A fast-growing company in Madera, California, has a full-time opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist at the company location in Madera, California. This full-time, on-site role will require your presence five days a week. The role at the Company is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves position responsible for administering and supporting all the team members' related needs. The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with leadership, supporting the entire organization and its business objectives.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee and culture advocacy, compensation, HRIS, benefits administration, team member relations, analytics/metrics, training, talent management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.
· Serve as an HRG for both locations, contributing to overall business success.
· Offer functional and operational human resources guidance by planning, organizing, and managing various HR activities.
· Work closely with the HR Manager to foster an inclusive work environment that aligns with the Company culture, enhancing team member experience and increasing retention.
· Leverage HR reporting and metrics; analyze data, work closely with HR Manager to diagnose issues, and recommend solutions to address business challenges.
· Anticipate organizational needs and adapt quickly to rapidly emerging situations, staying current on HR best practices and applicable legislation.
· Assist the HR Manager with employee training and effectively onboard new team members (Salaried, Hourly, and contingent employees)
· Work with the HR Manager to ensure the execution and completion of required training and legal compliance with state and local regulations.
· Assist HR Manager with the preparation of payroll, investigations, and data analysis.
· Serve as a functional resource for team members, ensuring their understanding and compliance with benefits and HR policies.
· Work with the HR Manager and Plant Manager to assess and prioritize staffing needs and drive strategy to improve staffing levels.
· Use systems and technology within the HR function and support administrative functions as needed (ISolved experience a plus).
· Champion the relationship with our insurance partner and the Open Enrollment process, with basic benefits knowledge.
· Assist the HR Manager with merit and compensation processes.
· Maintain confidentiality and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
· Assist the HR Manager in resolving team member relations issues.
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a business-related field required.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and externally.
· Alignment with the people-first culture of the Company; a caring HRG with a passion for continuous learning, achieving results, and developing themselves and others.
· A strong foundation in core HR processes and practices, including but not limited to employment, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, and orientation and onboarding.
· Credible team member who quickly builds effective working relationships centered on trust across functions and teams.
· Decisive, action-oriented, and organized; sets priorities effectively and drives execution through completion.
· Adaptable and flexible, able to quickly learn new concepts and apply them to varying situations and challenges.
· Demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and HRIS, iSolve preferred.
· HR certifications, such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
