to join our team in Pickering. This is a
standalone HR role, offering a unique opportunity to take ownership of HR operations and grow alongside a dynamic and expanding company.

As our HR Generalist, you’ll be the go-to person for all things HR, supporting employees, managers, and leadership with day-to-day HR needs. You’ll manage core HR functions, payroll and benefits, health and safety, and liaise with third parties to support grants, apprenticeships and workforce programs. You’ll help foster a positive workplace culture and contribute to initiatives that support our team’s growth and success.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Prepare employment-related documents (e.g., offer letters, promotions, salary changes).
- Support offboarding processes including exit interviews and documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Administer biweekly
payroll
and manage
employee benefits programs
.
- Oversee
health and safety compliance
, training, and reporting.
- Liaise with external partners and government agencies regarding
grants, funding programs, and workforce initiatives
.
- Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, AODA, etc.).
- Support recruitment activities including job postings and interviews.
- Contribute to employee engagement and HR initiatives.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Perform other HR-related duties as needed.
- Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
- 1–2 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience with
payroll and benefits administration
(Payworks or similar system an asset).
- Knowledge of
Ontario employment and health & safety legislation
.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

- Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week
