OxEon Energy is hiring a HR Manager to oversee the day-to-day, planning, and overall operations of the human resources department of a fast-growing small business. This position requires a detail-oriented individual, capable of mitigating risks for the company while supporting employees to work their best. The position will oversee developing HR processes, job descriptions, and hiring practices for OxEon as the organization transitions from R&D to full scale manufacturing. Input on department formation, company organization, and roles and responsibilities will be a key objective in the near term.

The HR Generalist supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and recordkeeping. This position plays a key role in ensuring HR operations run smoothly and efficiently while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Administer day-to-day HR operations and provide support to employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Assist with full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, resume review, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing offer letters.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring completion of all new hire and termination documentation.
Maintain employee records in OrangeHRM and ensure data accuracy and compliance with company and legal standards.
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping data and ensuring accurate employee information.
Help facilitate training sessions, employee engagement activities, and recognition programs.
Support performance management processes such as goal setting, evaluations, and corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices to maintain compliance.
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and data analysis as needed.
Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and contribute to HR projects and process improvements.
Work in office, R&D laboratories, and manufacturing environments
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
2–5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related role.
Working knowledge of HR functions including recruitment, benefits, and compliance.
Familiarity with HRIS systems (experience with OrangeHRM is a plus).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field.
The ability to sit for extended periods, typically 6–8 hours per day, with occasional standing and walking throughout the office or production areas. The position involves regular use of a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment, requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity for reading documents and screens. The role may occasionally require lifting office materials or supplies up to 20 pounds. Depending on the work environment, the HR Manager may also need to walk through production or lab areas that require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
