- Serve as a resource to employees regarding benefits, pay, leaves of absences and policies.
- Provide counsel and support to CNC leadership in way of employee relations, policy administration and other HR related areas in accordance with organizational philosophy, values and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, select and on-board newly hired employees.
- Manage temporary staffing services.
- Maintain employee files, leave of absence documents and other employment related documents in accordance with applicable laws.
- Utilize the HRIS system to ensure thorough and correct information tracking and retrieval.
- Process all employment related transactions such as benefits enrollment, new hire processing, payroll approval, pay changes, etc.
- Understand and track job leveling system (i.e., promotions based on skill).
- Assess and make recommendations for employee/leadership training and development, policy revisions, employee engagement, etc. based on considerations of operational objects, workplace opportunities for improvement, workforce culture, and company values.
- Provide leadership and counsel regarding employee communications and working conditions.
- Support EH&S initiatives, attend plant safety meetings, understand and raise safety issues and concerns.
- Foster positive working relationships with employees & supervisors.
- Partners with peers on projects to ensure that a unified HR strategy is delivered across all locations where possible.
- Provide HR policy and Work Rule guidance and interpretation to Management and employees.
- B.A. or B.S. Degree in a related field required
- PHR or SPHR certification a plus
- Basic computer experience and aptitude for HRIS required
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
- 2-3 years of HR experience preferred
