Job Summary
The HR Coordinator plays a key role at Lake City Plating, supporting the needs of associates and helping the company be successful. This individual’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Coordinates and administers recruiting initiatives, associate engagement activities, training completion, and community outreach. This position works under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, and they must exercise a high level of confidentiality.
Essential Responsibilities:
•Administers all recruiting initiatives
•Screens all candidates and schedules all HM interviews
•Communication with temp agencies, reports temp hours
•Coordinates monthly associate appreciation lunches
•Coordinates/Schedules company orientations
•Assists with internal communications
•Assign, setup and monitor training for completion
•Tracks attendance points and notifies supervisors
•Coordinates recognition and engagement activities
•Creates social media posts and community outreach initiatives
•Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
•Very detail-oriented, project management skills
•High level of people-skills
•High level of trust — able to protect confidential information
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
•Skilled in Microsoft Office skills, to include PowerPoint and Excel
•Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
•Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
•Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
•Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
•Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
•Comfortable working in a high-energy, results focused environment
Preferred Additional Experience and Skills
•Two or more years in Human Resources
•HRIS and ATS experience (preferably UKG)
•Experience implementing a recruiting module in HRIS
Work Environment
•This job mainly operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The performance of this position requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area that requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, proper closed-toed footwear, steel-toed footwear if actively interacting with, or standing in close proximity to equipment that presents a reasonable risk of striking the foot and causing injury, and other PPE as needed. The noise level is moderate.
Physical Demands
•The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an HR Coordinator to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
•This position is both a sedentary office position and has a plant-wide role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift and move items up to 30 pounds. This position may require bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
Transportation Requirements
•Packaging Specialist must have dependable transportation. This position may require a 15-mile commute between our two Ohio locations, when necessary, but it is not a daily expectation. The mileage is reimbursable.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position. Days and typical hours are Monday through Friday between 8 am to 4 pm with flexibility to adjust schedule. Some Saturdays are required for planned job fairs or company functions.
