HR and Recruitment Manager

Purpose:
Virtus Renewables is seeking a proactive and strategic HR and Recruitment Manager to lead our human resources and talent acquisition functions as we continue expanding our presence in the U.S. renewable energy sector. This role is critical to shaping a high-performance, values-driven culture that supports our mission of delivering operational excellence in solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
We’re looking for an experienced HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in recruiting, employee relations, HR compliance, and workforce development—ideally within the construction, energy, or O&M (Operations & Maintenance) industries.
Strategic Leadership
•Develop and implement a long-term HR strategy aligned with the company’s growth and operational goals.
•Partner with executive leadership to ensure HR initiatives support business objectives and workforce planning.
•Champion a strong, inclusive company culture that fosters employee engagement and performance.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
•Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires.
•Develop and maintain a strong employer brand to attract top talent in the renewable energy sector.
•Build and manage partnerships with staffing agencies, universities, and trade programs.
HR Compliance & Policy Development
•Oversee implementation and adherence to company policies, employee handbooks, and labor laws at the federal and state levels.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all HR-related documentation.
•Monitor changes in employment legislation and ensure organizational compliance.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
•Serve as a key resource for employees and managers on HR-related inquiries, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
•Implement and oversee performance review processes and support employee development plans.
•Provide coaching to managers on effective team leadership and employee engagement.
Training & Organizational Development
•Identify workforce skill gaps and coordinate training programs to address development needs.
•Promote leadership development initiatives and succession planning across departments.
•Organize company-wide HR communications, including benefits education, HR policy updates, and cultural initiatives.
Data, Reporting & Systems Management
•Manage HR systems for applicant tracking, performance management, and employee records.
•Track key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-hire, engagement scores) and report insights to leadership.
•Support payroll coordination and benefits administration in collaboration with finance and external providers.
Required Skills and Expertise
•Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR and recruitment management, preferably in the renewable energy, construction, or industrial services sector.
•Recruitment Expertise: Proven success in high-volume hiring, workforce planning, and building effective recruitment pipelines.
•Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building abilities across all organizational levels.
•HR Compliance: Strong understanding of employment laws, labor standards, and HR best practices.
•Technical Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems, ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Certifications
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
•Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
•Licensure: Valid driver’s license preferred for occasional site visits or recruitment events.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
