The Field Safety Coordinator at ADS plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel and the environment at oil and gas sites. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents. The Field Safety Coordinator collaborates with various teams and regulatory bodies to promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.
Essential Functions:
•Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage safety programs to comply with industry regulations and best practices. Ensure that safety policies and procedures are up-to-date and effective.
•Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues and provide recommendations for mitigation.
•Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
•Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety violations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
•Compliance Monitoring: Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations related to drilling operations and ensure full compliance. Assist in obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
•Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure the readiness of the team in the event of an incident or emergency.
•Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, non-compliance, and areas for improvement. Ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
•Safety Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and safety training. Prepare and submit safety reports as required by regulatory agencies and management.
•Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement by promoting safe behaviors, values, and initiatives throughout the organization.
•Communication: Collaborate with management, drilling crews, and external stakeholders to effectively communicate safety goals, initiatives, and concerns.
•Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Health, Safety and Environmental
Qualifications and Education Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Occ Safety or relevant certifications in safety management (e.g., CSP, OSHA 30-hour, etc.) preferred.
•Proven experience in safety management, with a focus on oil and gas drilling operations.
•Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices. Able to instruct PEC, Safeland, Rig Pass and H2S Training
•Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Proficiency in safety software and reporting tools.
•Willingness to travel to drilling sites as needed.
