Safety Coordinator

Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team. The position is at the Agnico Eagle Detour Lake Mine, on a 7 days on/7 days off schedule.

The Safety Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees within the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks

- Coordinate safety training programs for employees, including training development

- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions

- Maintain safety records and documentation in accordance with company policies

- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and promote a culture of safety within the organization

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred

- Proven experience working as a Safety Coordinator or similar role

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to fabricate solutions to address safety issues effectively

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
