Field Safety Specialist
The Field Safety Specialist position is an entry-level position. The Field Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing and enforcing safety programs, policies, and procedures, fostering a culture of safety, building capacity into our work using controls, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Specialist plays a hands-on role in identifying, assessing, preventing, and mitigating safety risks associated with field operations.
This position will assume responsibility for area-level safety leadership within an assigned area, explicitly focusing on field safety leadership. The Field Safety Specialist position will report to the Area Safety Manager or another designated department manager.

•Wage: $25.00-$32.00 per hour, paid weekly
•$150.00 a day per diem over 4 hours worked.

Essential Duties:
•Complete audits based on event trends, indicators, and safety needs
•Review events for indicators and ensure comprehensive safety planning and reporting
•Provide project safety and quality support
•Participate in Client company safety audits and coordinate corrective actions
•Facilitate/take part in root cause analysis, investigations, and case management
•Coordinate, manage, and respond to OSHA audits
•Assist in coordinating Safety, DOT, and OQ Training with the Training Manager
•Assist in injury management and establish local resources and relationships
•Review weekly Ops Reports for safety planning
•Uphold professional interaction, appearances, and communication at all levels of the organization
•Assist in generating Health and Safety Plans, weekly safety discussions, and other documents as required
•Read and comprehend standards; know facility construction best practices
•Maintain and enhance knowledge of facilities' construction safety
Key Qualifications:
•2+ years of facilities construction experience
•OR 2+ years in a construction or industrial safety/quality-related role
•The physical activity for this role includes:
+ Travel as needed for site visits
+ On-call availability 24/7 or as assigned, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
+ Site visits in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
+ Manual dexterity, typing, computer and small equipment use
+ Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods
+ Lift heavy loads, up to 50 lbs.
+ Repetitive motions such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
•Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
