Job Summary
Field Safety Specialist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Coordinate, implement, and monitor the Company Safety and Health Program across various project locations.
•Support the development and execution of strategies to reduce or eliminate workplace injuries, illnesses, and incidents, ensuring alignment with business unit objectives.
•Assist with delivering training and educational programs related to safety and health compliance.
•Participate in pre-job safety planning meetings to assess potential hazards and develop emergency response plans for each project.
•Lead or assist in safety meetings and training sessions to effectively communicate company policies and procedures.
•Independently perform and document safety audits, evaluations, inspections, and behavioral observations, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are identified and implemented.
•Assist in the investigation and documentation of incidents involving injury, illness, or liability.
•Prepare and distribute regular safety communications and updates.
•Inform team members of changes to company or regulatory safety requirements.
•Identify team members who require additional training, coaching, or support to meet company safety expectations.
•Assist in coordinating project safety efforts with subcontractors, vendors, and third-party personnel to ensure full adherence to company safety policies.
•Serve as the liaison for federal, state, or local safety agencies, including OSHA, when the HSE Manager is unavailable.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and technical training considered.
•Minimum of 1 year of safety and health experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
•Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred
•Experience in production operations is a strong plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations, as well as applicable state/federal safety standards and internal company procedures.
•Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
•Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to prioritize tasks independently.
•Demonstrated ability to identify issues, implement solutions, and drive compliance through influence and leadership.
•Proven judgment and decision-making skills in managing company safety policies and procedures.
•Ability to build rapport and influence supervisors and field personnel toward a proactive safety culture.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
•CPR/First Aid Instructor certification preferred.
•SafeLand Train-the-Trainer certification preferred.

Work Area:
Primary work location is in the Cadiz, Ohio area, with occasional travel required to project sites in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Pay Range:
Base salary begins at $60,000, with additional compensation considered for candidates with advanced experience or credentials.
