Experienced Maintenance Worker

At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add an Experienced Maintenace Technician. We have a passion for producing the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and plant equipment per the company's preventative maintenance program

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

- Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime

- Diagnose and replace defective components, ensuring proper testing and adjustments

- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics for equipment servicing

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting

- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLCs and power systems

- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively

- Experience with robotics a plus

- Must pass a post-offer drug screen and physical prior to employment

- High school diploma or equivalent required
