Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees the mechanical and electrical trades and is accountable for supervision and the planning of site maintenance activities.
· Lead, supervise, and develop maintenance employees across mechanical and electrical trades.
· Organize and oversee day‑to‑day maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant equipment operation.
· Plan, schedule, and prioritize preventive, corrective, and recurring maintenance work, including manpower allocation and work orders.
· Coordinate maintenance priorities with Operations and plant leadership to ensure timely and effective completion of work.
· Provide supervisory coverage during staff absences, including directing work, conducting meetings, and supporting performance management.
· Conduct shift toolbox talks and facilitate monthly Maintenance Department safety meetings.
· Assist with planning and execution of major equipment repairs, upgrades, and replacement projects.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost reduction, maintenance workflows, procedures, CMMS use, and system effectiveness.
· Manage parts, tools, materials, purchase requisitions, and vendor quotes in accordance with company policies.
· Ensure maintenance documentation, reporting, regulatory requirements, and safety standards are met and enforced.
· Minimum 7 years of industrial maintenance experience, including planning and/or supervisory roles.
· Interprovincial Red Seal Certification (Millwright, Electrician, or Welder) considered an asset.
· Post secondary education in Engineering or technical related field will be considered an asset
· Experience supervising trades in a safety‑focused industrial environment.
· Working knowledge of CMMS systems; ability to learn new systems quickly.
· Multi‑trade planning or dual‑ticket certification considered an asset.
