As part of our continued expansion of ESS-related manufacturing operations in the United States, we are seeking a Safety & Environmental Specialist to support safe, compliant, and sustainable operations at our Houston manufacturing facility.
The Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist will be responsible for managing and improving workplace safety and environmental compliance at the Houston manufacturing plant. This role plays a key part in supporting high-quality and safe ESS manufacturing operations through effective safety programs and regulatory compliance.

- Implement and maintain
workplace safety programs
in compliance with OSHA and local regulations
- Conduct
safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety orientations
for plant employees
- Perform
risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations
- Develop, update, and enforce
safety policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Ensure compliance with
environmental regulations
(EPA, state, and local requirements)
- Manage
environmental permits, reporting, and documentation
- Track and analyze
EHS performance metrics
(incidents, near misses, corrective actions)
- Promote a proactive
safety culture
across ESS manufacturing operations
- Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and customer audits as required
- Collaborate with plant leadership and global EHS/HR teams to align with corporate standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field
- 5+ years of experiencein EHS roles, preferably in a
manufacturing or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of
OSHA regulations
and basic
environmental compliance
requirements
- Experience conducting safety training and incident investigations
- Familiarity with EHS management systems and reporting tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing plant
- OSHA or relevant EHS certifications are a plus
