In this job, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the ongoing health and reliability of a $10bn substation asset base as well as the inspection and maintenance of around 1000 electric substations across all 50,000 square miles of SCE’s service territory including portions of Nevada and Arizona.

Manages Senior Managers and Senior Supervisors as well as 200 Electricians and Utilitymen represented by IBEW Local 47 who conduct inspections and diagnostic tests, perform maintenance, and repair or install our most critical assets.

- Oversees and drives the planning, design, and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems, developing and maintaining the strategic technology plans and roadmaps for the company energy delivery systems

- Leads the development and integration of broad and complex business process improvement initiatives as well as the integration and alignment of organizational transformation initiatives, including change management

- Leads the overall coordination of processes related to budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting and work order management, providing support to existing engineering projects or packaging proposals for future projects

- Oversees and ensures company policies are followed and implements recommendations regarding staffing decisions

- Develops and leads the implementation of innovative cost savings projects (capital and operational) and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply, managing the company's capital budgets for electrical infrastructure and energy projects

- Manages the implementation and compliance of the firm’s global delivery framework to drive revenue, profit and cash management in order to meet or exceed budget and forecasts

- Designs facilities for new and existing customers according to company energy delivery services construction standards and interprets administrative instructions for consistent and cost-effective designs

- Oversees complex operational analyses and leads medium to large project teams that support informed decision making within the business unit

- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity

Minimum Qualifications

- Seven or more years managing/supervising an organization/unit or seven or more years project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing or supervising union employees.

- Experience/knowledge of technology solutions impacting the topology of the modern grid.

Additional Information

- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
