Engineering Maintenance Manager

Job Overview

The Engineering Maintenance Manager will support the startup, stabilization, and ongoing maintenance of a new manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing facility maintenance, equipment readiness, vendor coordination, preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring a safe, compliant, and operational work environment.

Duties

- Oversee day-to-day maintenance of building systems and property, production equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.

- Ensure all equipment is properly installed, operational, and maintained during facility startup and ramp-up.

- Maintain readiness of critical systems (electrical, HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, safety systems).

- Perform or coordinate minor repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance.

- Track maintenance activities, service intervals, and equipment history.

- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized repairs and inspections.

- Support facility safety programs, inspections, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or higher with 7+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.

- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.

- Experience supporting new facility startups or expansions preferred.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Comfortable working in an active production environment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs as required.

- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and work in confined or elevated spaces.

- Must be able to work safely around machinery, electrical systems, and industrial equipment.
