SUMMARY:

The Employee Services Generalist performs a broad range of Employee Services functions to support the organization’s employee lifecycle and overall Employee Services operations. This position is responsible for administering and coordinating activities related to recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, policy interpretation, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. The Employee Services Generalist serves as a key resource for employees and management, ensuring consistency in employee services practices while fostering a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES includes the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

- Provides daily guidance and support to line management on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, compliance, coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions. Partners with managers to resolve performance issues, foster employee development, and ensure fair and consistent application of CWW policies and procedures.

- Manages the organization’s Performance Management Program by overseeing both the operational and administrative functions. Coordinates and delivers training on CWW’s performance management processes, develops and supports reviewers to ensure effective and consistent evaluation practices, and provides guidance to employees and supervisors to enhance the quality and fairness of performance evaluations. Maintains program administration by reviewing and screening status change reports and performance evaluations for accuracy, initiating and coordinating annual performance reviews through timely supervisor notifications, recording and filing evaluation data, and verifying salary adjustments and effective dates, while monitoring compliance with established policies and ensuring timely processing of appraisal forms.

- Manages and resolves complex employee relations matters by providing guidance and support to employees and supervisors, ensuring issues are addressed in a fair and consistent manner. Conducts thorough, impartial, and well-documented investigations into workplace concerns such as policy violations, performance issues, and interpersonal conflicts; analyzes findings to determine appropriate outcomes; and recommends corrective actions or solutions in alignment with organizational policies, legal requirements, and best practices.

- Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to manage the employee resignation and termination process, including documenting required disciplinary actions in ADP, preparing the Payroll Status Report (PSR) for approvals, and completing out-processing procedures. Ensures compliance by completing Georgia Department of Labor paperwork, maintaining out-processing worksheets, collecting company property such as uniforms, security badges, and notifying the CCG Pension Administrator of employee separations.

- Manages the Educational Assistance Program by reviewing employee application requests for accuracy and completeness, coordinating submissions with the approval board, issuing notification correspondence, and processing reimbursement requests. Maintains accurate program records by entering and updating educational assistance information in the employee database.

- Manages the CWW Training Program for the Employee Services Department by coordinating and delivering training to division and department managers, supervisors, and employees. Provides instruction and support on employee development initiatives, department forms, and organizational systems, including Docuware, HRIS (ADP), Learning Management System, and other related platforms. Ensures training is effective, up-to-date, and aligned with departmental and organizational goals.

- Responsible for training room logistics, including setup and breakdown, coordinating seating and equipment arrangements, and ensuring the space is returned to its original condition. Manages catering for training sessions by ordering and coordinating the delivery or pickup of breakfast and lunch for participants, ensuring a seamless and well-organized training experience.

- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

- Responsible for the data entry in the HRIS system by ensuring detailed and accurate updates to employee records, including changes to personnel data, compensation, benefits, performance reviews, new hire information, termination details, and training records. Supports data integrity and accuracy to facilitate Employee Services processes and reporting.

- Assists the Talent Acquisition Specialist in the recruitment program by providing administrative support with payroll status reports, employee onboarding and out-processing process, including coordinating and facilitating new hire orientations.

- Provides administrative support to the Benefits & Wellness Specialists in the implementation and coordination of total rewards programs, including benefits administration, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.

- Compiles and analyzes data to support benchmarking initiatives and the development of strategic metrics, providing actionable insights to guide organizational decision-making and performance improvement.

- Prepares correspondence, maintains organized files, and provides general administrative support to ensure the Employee Services office operates efficiently and is adequately staffed at all times.

- Provides administrative support for the implementation of various HR programs and projects, including the Wellness Program, Safety and Workers’ Compensation Program, Health and Benefits Fair, and New Employee Orientation, ensuring smooth execution and effective coordination of activities

- Regular and predictable attendance is required

- Performs all other duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Incumbent must be able to exercise independent judgment and initiative in making decisions.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Advanced knowledge of computer database programs and HRIS systems.

- Must possess technical proficiency in computer operations and software, to include Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Word, Publisher, etc.)

- Working knowledge of or the ability to learn, understand and interpret Human Resource Law to include the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act and general employment practices, policies and procedures.

- Good knowledge and strong understanding of Human Resources roles, functions, processes and programs, thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public.

- Ability to present ideas and information in a clear and concise manner.

- Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple projects; ability to maintain files, records, and reports; ability to operate general office equipment, to include computer, copy machine, fax machine, multiple database programs, and calculator.

- Good communication and customer service skills.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred, along with a minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience with an emphasis on employee development, employee benefits or talent management; or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and at least five (5) years of related HR experience.

- HR Certification preferred, (SHRM, HRCI).

- Good knowledge of computer database programs and software such as MS Office Suite and HRIS systems required.

- Working knowledge and ability to interpret general policies and procedures and Human Resource Laws to include the FLSA, FMLA, USERRA and general employment practices, policies and procedures.

- Must have a working knowledge of employee leaves (FMLA, LOA).

- Organizational skills and experience in the development and management of routine projects.

- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written to present ideas and information in a clear and concise manner.

- Ability to multi-task, collect, compile, and analyze data.

- Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documents such as procedure manuals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to write detailed reports and correspondence; must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to describe complex technical concepts; ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, managers, employees, and the general public.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems, ability to exercise independent decision making; ability to interpret and explain general policies and procedures; ability to effectively interface with the general public, department mangers and co-workers.
