Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is seeking an experienced and energetic communications professional. This position will support NGM’s communications, employee engagement, and brand management efforts.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and storyteller, an organized project manager, and a proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position supports strategic messaging, employee engagement initiatives, visual content creational, and ongoing brand management in alignment with NGM’s DNA (mission, core values, and guiding behaviors).

Key Responsibilities


- Internal Communications

- Develop and distribute clear, direct, and transparent internal communications

- Content development for internal communications channels such as Town Hall meetings, digital monitors, flyers, newsletters, etc.

- Facilitate and support writing, copywriting, and editing of multi-platform internal and external communication materials

- Manage internal employee communication platforms such as the Company Intranet, Digital Monitor System, Event Registration, and Employee App

- Assist in developing and facilitating employee communication and engagement surveys

- Analyze and report on engagement metrics and survey results to inform improvements and decision-making

- Support external communications as needed


- Employee Engagement

- Manage the coordination and oversight of the company’s employee-led communications and engagement program, In Reach.

- Manage company-wide employee engagement activities such as Company Picnics, Golf Tournaments, Holiday Events, etc.

Qualifications Required

- Bachelor’s Degree

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in communications, employee engagement, HR, or similar service-oriented role

- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

- Tech savvy, with a desire and ability to execute engaging communication and initiatives

- Exhibit high levels of creativity, writing and editing skills with demonstrable ability to use multiple styles to communicate effectively with all levels of employees

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally and deliver clear and concise information

- Understanding of how to interact with and energize a broad range of multi-generational, diverse employee groups.

- Experience planning and coordinating events

- Ability to prioritize and manage complex projects and confidential data


Preferred

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources, organizational effectiveness, psychology, or related field

- Human resources generalist experience

- Mining experience

- Experience preparing strategic communications for presentation to various stakeholders

- Experience in area of Social Media, Content Marketing, Employer Branding

- Apt analytical skills, with the ability to work with large amounts of data and communicate data findings
