Our Drivers - Material Handlers typically work from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You'll travel throughout local areas, mostly in Macomb and Oakland counties.
THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR DRIVER - MATERIAL HANDLER
Here's what the average day looks like:
- Properly loading and unloading electrical supplies and equipment in and out of your work vehicle
- Transporting materials between our warehouse, suppliers, and various job sites while following all safety policies and DOT laws
- Completing accurate delivery logs and reports
- Following the vehicle maintenance schedule and keeping your truck clean
- Helping out in other areas as assigned, such as organizing the warehouse or assisting with inventory control
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (health card)
- Forklift experience or willingness to be trained
- Ability to travel to various job sites (mostly in Macomb and Oakland counties)
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy materials weighing 50+ lbs.- Strong organizational and time management skills
- PREFERRED - familiarity with electrical materials and equipment
